Administration and Finance is pleased to announce that Jeff Sutton has been selected as Director of Procurement. The Director of Procurement oversees approximately $90,000,000 in purchases annually by the University, the Procurement Card program, and social purchasing initiatives such as the Minority Business Enterprise and Small Business Reserve programs.
Jeff’s qualifications include a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Business, a Purchasing Manager Certification (CPM), and over 20 years of experience as the Associate Director of Procurement. He has led significant procurement efforts involving University construction, Maryland Educational Enterprise Consortium (MEEC) classroom technology, asset management, and Peoplesoft implementation. He has outstanding knowledge of USM Procurement Policies and Procedures and is highly respected by colleagues and peers.
