To protect the health, safety and general welfare of Towson University’s students, staff and visitors, TU implemented the Storm Water Illicit Discharge Detection and Elimination Policy.
The policy asserts the importance of keeping our water clean. This policy ensures we comply with the Maryland Department of the Environment’s (MDE) Stormwater Management Program permit requirements for the university—in other words, following this policy is a legal issue.
Report policy violations (people dropping waste into the storm drainage system) by contacting the Towson University Police Department (TUPD) at (410) 704-4444.
